Couture on free TV
According to multiple sources today Randy Couture (16-10) has agreed to face Brandon Vera (11-3) in the main event at UFC 105. Couture just fought on Aug. 29that UFC 102 where he lost via unanimous decision to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria. He will be dropping back down to light heavyweight after fighting the last 4 times at heavyweight. Couture is 14 years older then Vera and both will only have 3 months between fights. This would seem to favor Vera but Couture always seems to amaze us.
The fight card for UFC 105 in England which will be televised free on spike TV has been subject to many rumors. With Couture as the main event for a free show it is going to be huge. The ratings for spike will easily be one of the highest ever if not the highest.
UFC 105 will Nov. 15 at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. It will also feature UK fighter’s Michael Bisping, Dan Hardy, Ross Pearson, Paul Taylor, Nick Osipczak and Terry Etim.
