Fighters Only 2009 MMA Awards
Fighters only magazinewill be holding it’s 2009 MMA awards this coming December 30th at the Joint in Las Vegas. The awards show is the only one of it’s kind and it allows the fans to pick the winners. There will be 18 categories to vote on and the great thing is there’s no multiple choice just fill in the blank. Here is the list of categories plus my quick picks:
- Fighter of the year ~ GSP
- Fight of the year~ Deigo Sanchez vs. Clay Guida
- Ko of the year~ Dan Henderson KO of Bisping @ UFC 100
- Submission of the year ~ BJ Penn Rear naked choke or Kenny Florian
- Best Promotion ~ UFC
- Leading Man of the year~ Lorenzo Fertitta
- European Fighter of the year ~ Dan Hardy
- Breakthrough Fighter of the year~ Todd Duffee
- Female Fighter of the year ~ Cyborg Santos
- Coach of the year ~ Greg Jackson
