amir sadollah After UFN 24 Win, Whats Next For Amir Sadollah?

Coming off an impressive win against DaMarcques Johnson at Ultimate Fight Night 24 the Question everyone is asking is what’s next for Amir Sadollah? Currently fights out of Throwdown Training Center with his good friend Forrest Griffin, Sadollah must certainly be wondering the same thing. Some delusional MMA fans have even called for a shot a Welterweight gold but is Sadollah ready to face the elite of the division?

With his Submission (due to elbows) victory coming at 3:27 of the second round over Johnson, Sadollah shows us yet again why he was the winner of the Ultimate Fighter’s Seventh season. Sadollah possesses a good ground game as well as some pretty decent stand up but some feel it is not up to the level of the fighters in the title contention picture such as B.J Penn, Jon Fitch or even Carlos Condit. With that being said Sadollah defiantly has the heart of a champion as he showed by keeping his composure during the first round against Johnson, but who should be the next opponent to step in front of Amir.

A very likely choice could be Diego “The Dream” Sanchez but with a healing Carlos Condit awaiting an opponent for his next fight maybe the best way to find out what Amir is made of is to put him in the octagon with someone who has the striking caliber of Condit. For only having seven professional fights under his belt and going 5-2 having only lost to Johny Hendricks and Dong Hyun Kim Sadollah is quickly moving up the ranks of the Welterweight division.

Sadollah is happy with just taking things as they come, taking each fight one at a time and using each fight as a learning experience. Although every fighter wants to make it to the top of their respective weight class. “I think my mindset will always be to get better,” said Sadollah “As far as fighting a higher level of competition, that’s just something that you’ve got to want. You’ve got to be hungry for it, and I’m hungry.”

Weather his next fight is against a B.J Penn or an up and comer in the welterweight division Amir Sadollah plans to keep doing what he has been, learning from his experiences and improving himself as a fighter.
