Bellator 39 Fight Card and Predictions

Arguably the best Bellator card of season four come this weekend with Bellator 39 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The card will feature the first title fight on season four with lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez defending his title against Pat Curran.

Also on the card are two semifinal tournament matches, one in the welterweight division and another in the lightweight division.

Former Bellator welterweight champion Lyman Good looks to get another shot at the current champion Ben Askren, who took his belt and handed him his only professional loss. He’ll need to win two more times in the tournament starting Saturday with the undefeated Rick Hawn. In what is sure to be an exciting grappling match Lightweights Toby Imada and Patricky Freire will face off for a spot in the finals against either Lloyd Woodard or Michael Chandler.

Rounding out the televised main card will be former UFC fighter Ben Saunders taking on Matt Lee. Saunders is making his second appearance after being released from the UFC and will be looking to a statement against the veteran Lee.

If you haven’t watched Bellator this season, Saturday’s Bellator 39 is a must see. Here is the complete fight card along with my predictions.
