Former WEC bantamweight champion Brian Bowles looks to make it two in a row inside the Octagon when he faces off against Japanese striker Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 132 in Las Vegas.

Bowles (9-1) has improved greatly since his days in the WEC. In his first bout as a UFC fighter, Bowles defeated Damacio Page in identical fashion as their first fight, by first round guillotine. Now, coming off an exciting win, Bowles is looking to continue his ascent up the bantamweight ladder in hopes of gaining back the gold that he won just two years ago.

Mizugaki (14-5-2) is the more experienced fighter of the two. A star during his days in Shooto and a former Cage Force champion, Mizugaki is aiming to keep his wins consistent when he steps back inside the Octagon. After falling to Urijah Faber in his final WEC bout, Mizugaki bested Reuben Duran in his UFC debut and like Bowles, wants nothing more than to one day wear another championship belt around his waist.

UFC 132 takes place July 2nd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Headlining the card will be the rematch between bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber. Also on the card, Tito Ortiz returns against Ryan Bader.
