Shark Fights featherweight champion Ronnie Mann is set to make his Bellator debut at this Saturday nights Bellator 42 against Josh Arocho. Mann (18-2-1), a veteran of Cage Rage and Sengoku, has fought throughout England and Japan over his eight years as a mixed martial artist. The English-born fighter made his debut on US soil in September at Shark Fights 13 where he defeated Doug Evans by split decision to capture the featherweight title.

Now with plenty of momentum behind him, Mann aims at continuing his win streak when he steps in against Arocho.

Arocho (6-9) has been on the losing side more often than not in his career. He has gone 2-3 in his last five fights and has been out of action since May of last year. Like Mann, this will be Arocho’s promotional debut and he is likely to be gunning for a big win over an experienced fighter.

This bout was added today after the scheduled bout between Cole Konrad and Paul Buentello was removed from the card due to a back injury suffered by Buentello. Their bout will now be moved back to a later date once the veteran Buentello heals.

Bellator 42 takes place this Saturday April 23rd at the Lucky Start Casino in Concho, Oaklahoma and will feature the semifinal bouts in the light heavyweight tounament.
