Welterweights Mike Pyle and Rory MacDonald Added to UFC 133 Fight Card

Today the UFC announced that welterweight veteran Mike Pyle (21-7-1) and rising star Rory MacDonald (11-1) will meet on UFC 133: Evans vs. Davis on August 6th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.Pyle is coming off a tough unanimous decision victory over the now retired Ricardo Almeida at UFC 128 in March. The Xtreme Couture fighter is currently riding a three fight winning streak and is 4-2 overall inside the Octagon. At 35, Pyle needs to keep his winning streak going if he wants to make one final run at a title.

The youngster MacDonald (21) impressed many with his unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz at last month’s UFC 129. Macdonald at time just man handled the Ultimate fighter winner, slamming him multiple times in the fight. The former King of the Cage lightweight champion has gone 2-1 in the UFC, with his lone loss coming against Carlos Condit.

Where this fight ends up on fight card is yet to be determined but if this fight doesn’t make the nights main card expect it to find a place on Spike TV.
