Picture of the Day: Overeem and Coenen Thank Fans
Recently released Golden Glory fighters Alistair Overeem and Marloes Coenen apparently want to thank their fans for supporting them before and after their abrupt dismiss from Strikeforce. Overeem was the first to get the boot, just days after he was removed from the Grand Prix due to a toe injury. Then the purge followed last week as three more Golden Glory fighters were released from both Strikeforce and the UFC.
“GG fighters @Alistairovereem & @MarloesCoenen would like to thank the fans for their support,” tweeted out Golden Glory head coach & CEO Martijn de Jong.
What “really” is going on here is any ones guess but the important thing here is that both former Strikeforce champions still appreciate their fans.
