BAMMA 8 Announces Complete Fight Card
The final fight card of the year for Europe’s leading Mixed Martial Arts promotion, BAMMA, is set for December 10th from the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England. The complete 13 bout fight card has been announced and it boasts many of the UK’s top talent (not sign to a ZUFFA contract).
The night’s main card will air on HDNet and is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between UK’s number one ranked Light Heavyweight, Jimi ‘The Posterboy’ Manuwa (10-0) against France’s Anthony Rea (22-13). Manuwa comes in highly touted, not only in the UK but in the states as well, with eight wins by knockout and no fight entering the third round it’s easy to tell why.
Coming off his win at BAMMA 7 against Frank Trigg, Team Rough House fighter Jimmy Wallhead (22-6-0) will face former Pride, EliteXC and Strikeforce warrior, Joey ‘Smokin’ Villasenor (29-9-0) in his BAMMA debut. Another Team Rough House fighter on the card is UFC vet Andre Winner as he takes on Sweden’s Diego Gonzalez in a World Lightweight Title elimination fight.
The nights undercard will be anchored by the undefeated BAMMA British Middleweight Champion and British Armed Forces veteran, Jack Marshman as he defends his Lonsdale title against Wolfslair’s Lee “Leeroy” Barnes.
