Tony Ferguson vs. Dennis Hallman added to UFC on FOX 3

Ultimate Fighter season 13 winner Tony Ferguson will take on the veteran Dennis Hallman at the next UFC on FOX card in May. The bout was announced Monday via the UFC official twitter account and will most likely be a part of the nights preliminary card.

Since winner the Ultimate Fighter, Ferguson has dropped down to the lightweight division where he has won both his fights. In his last bout he face his toughest fight in the UFC as he took on “thugjitsu master” Yves Edwards, winning by unanimous decision. Ferguson has shown great improvement since the Ultimate Fighter and will be looking to extend his overall win streak to seven against Hallman.

With almost 70 fights under his belt, Hallman is coming off a first round submission victory at UFC 140. The win likely saved his job as he had missed weight for the fight and was coming off the “skimpy shorts” incident at UFC 133. Hallman has promised to never miss weight again, but will also need to show the UFC brass something inside the Octagon when he faces Ferguson.

The UFC on Fox 3 card takes place at the IZOD Center in New Jersey on May 5.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
