Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz Will be a Five Round Main Event at UFC on FOX 3

| February 2, 2012 | Reply

Great news for MMA fans, in that the recently announced bout of Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz for the UFC on FOX 3 has been announced as shows main event and will be a five round contest. Miller is clawing his way back to where he stood in the rankings for the better part of 2011, and Diaz is doing just what the Diaz brothers are famous for, beating people up, and then demanding higher level opposition.

Miller (21-3) is coming off a first round submission win against Melvin Guillard at UFC on FX: Guillard vs. Miller to get back into the win column. Miller had won seven in a row in the UFC before losing to Ben Henderson by unanimous decision in august of 2011. Diaz (15-7) recently defeated Donald Cerrone at UFC 141 to improve to 2-0 since dropping back down to lightweight. The TUF 5 winner is 10-5 overall in the UFC and has looked impressive after his short-lived trip up in weight.

Their main event bout should be an exciting and incredible fight that should provide some solid insight as to who could be considered as an opponent for the winner of the upcoming Frankie Edgar vs. Benson Henderson bout, which is scheduled to headline UFC 144: Japan, later this month.
