Tim Means Dominates Magalhaes in UFC Debut

Opening the UFC on Fuel TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger fight card, lightweight Tim means dominated his opponent Bernardo Magalhaes in route to a unanimous decision. Both fighters were making their UFC debut, but you wouldn’t have known that from his performance.

Means (17-3-1) fights out of Albuquerque, New Mexico (not at Jackson’s MMA) and displayed a well-rounded fight game to earn his eight consecutive win. Having the height and reach advantage, Means punished Magalhaes from the outside and made him pay anytime he’d attempt a takedown. Magalhaes went for a takedown in the opening round and was greeted with a big knee by Means that really set the tone for the remainder of the fight.

The defeat is only the second of Magalhaes (11-2) career and the Australian looked to be in survival mode after failing with his first couple takedowns.

Means looked upset after the fight, while the judges scores to be read off as (30-27, 30-26, 30-26) in favor of “The Dirty Bird”.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
