TUF Live has suffered its first casualty as Team Cruz coach and UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has injured he’s knee. The injury occurred while Cruz was training at the Ultimate Fighter gym for his upcoming UFC 148 bout against fellow TUF Live coach Urijah Faber.

Though initially a rumor, several sites have since confirmed the reports and UFC President Dana White has gone on record, via twitter that Cruz had in fact blown out his knee.

Cruz and Faber we set for their rubber match on July 7th in Las Vegas as the co-main event of UFC 148. It’s obvious Cruz is now off the fight card, but what the UFC does with Urijah Faber is likely being discussed as you read this.

What happens with Dominick Cruz on TUF Live is another issue the UFC will need to address quickly as they have a Quarterfinals press conference schedule tomorrow with both coaches and the participants of the first two quarterfinal bouts. Not to mention Friday’s TUF Live episode, which by the way just got a whole lot more interesting.

As the news has just broke there is several questions left unanswered. Stay tuned for more info on the situation.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
