Thirty-two men started off the season looking to be this season’s Ultimate Fighter as well as the winner of a Harley Davidson and a one year sponsorship deal with Tapout. Twelve weeks and twenty-eight fights later, we are down to only four: James Vick taking on Mike Chiesa and Vinc Pichel taking on Al Iaquinta.
With a spot in next weekends final, it’s all going down tonight.
James Vick vs. Mike Chiesa
When looking at both fighters, everything is nearly equal with them. Both are undefeated, both prefer to win via submission and both are fairly new to the sport with only 11 fights between them not including the ones on TUF. It should be interesting to see who has learned more from their experience in being in the house. Look for the fight to primarily be a standup fight with their grappling cancelling each other out.
Prediction: Mike Chiesa via unanimous decision.
Vinc Pichel vs. Al Iaquinta
It’s East coast vs. West coast, New York vs. California and Team Faber vs. Team Cruz. When the teams were picked, these two were the guys that stood out on of their respective teams. Al Iaquinta is the more well-rounded fighter of the two but Pichel is not one to shy away from a fight. These two are gonna stand in the pocket and just throw bombs.
Prediction: Al Iaquinta via 1st round KO
With the TUF Live finale happening on Friday in Las Vegas, this is how the card looks so far and I’m sure we’ll get some more fights announced later on tonight, early tomorrow.
