Fighters Vying for MFC 35 Gold Make Weight Today

MFC 35Tomorrow night inside the Mayfield Trade and Conference Centre, Elvis Mutapcic and Joseph Henle will be fighting for the vacant Maximum Fighting Championship middleweight title. Today both fighters stepped onto the scales along with the rest of the fighters on tomorrow’s MFC 35: Explosive Encounters event.

Both title contenders easily made weight and their main event bout will cap of the MFC 35 fight card airing live on AXS TV starting at 10pm ET / 7pm PT. Unfortunately not everyone was so lucky with the scales today as two fighters did miss weight and will forfeit a portion of their fight purse.

Mutapcic (11-2) weighed in at 184.4 lbs. while Ultimate Fighter alum Henle came in at 184.6 lbs. The winner will be the first MFC world middleweight title-holder since Patrick Cote was crowned champion at MFC 9.

The MFC 35 co-main event will feature the promotions first major featherweight bout as the former UFC fighter Shane Nelson makes his promotional debut against Vancouver’s Graham Spencer. Both fighters made weight as Spencer came in at 144.8 lbs. and his opponent stepped off the scale at 146.0 lbs.

Middleweight Jared McComb and welterweight Cody Krahn were the two who did not make-weight for MFC 35.
