Tickets for UFC on FOX: Shogun vs. Vera on sale TODAY!

On August 4th the UFC on FOX will bring the promotion back to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the first time in over two years with a light heavyweight main event between former champion Shogun Rua and Brandon Vera. Rua was also the headliner the last time the UFC was at the Staples Center back at UFC 104 on October 24th, 2009. Though he lost a close and controversial decision to Lyoto Machida, he would later defeat Machida to capture UFC gold.

Pat Curran is a pocket-sized rock’em sock’em robot. The Bellator 145 pound kingpin earned his title by destroying Joe Warren at Bellator 60. Patricio “Pitbull” Freire is 17-1 and his lone loss was a disputed split decision loss to former champion Joe Warren. When these two combustible agents meet on August 24th, an MMA explosion is the sure fire result.

Strikeforce Event to Showcase American Kickboxing Academy

All eyes in the MMA community will be on Strikeforce this Saturday night as they crown their Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion, when Daniel Cormier squares off with Josh Barnett. What people will be seeing in three of the four main card bouts, are American Kickboxing Academy fighters trying to win a Grand Prix, a Lightweight Championship and a Number One contender-ship. It’s a big night in the south bay.

With the Avengers hitting the theaters this last weekend in spectacular fashion, Fight to Win MMA looks to use that hype as they present SUPERHEROES. The event will feature 12 (9 pro & 3 Amateur) bouts and sports a theme inspired poster (pictured) with all the combatants as different superheroes.
