Oklahoma State Athletic Commission Halts Combat Sports

As MMA is nearly legal in every state, one state is halting all combat sports from being approved within the state. Effective right now the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission has halted approving event permits for all combative sports (MMA, Boxing, etc.) the Commission regulates for events after March 31st, this according to the Director of Oklahoma State Athletic Commission, Joe Miller who talked with MMAValor regarding the matter.

After a two and a half-year layoff, Justin McCully is back and will be making his second trip back into the cage for Resurrection Fighting Alliance. The drive to compete and to test himself is what drew him back to fighting, after going just 2-2 in the UFC.  The recently turned 36-year-old didn’t know what to expect when he got back in that cage, on December 16th, to face Justin Grizzard.  What he got was a TKO win, a date to fight Derrick Lewis at RFA 2 and the confidence in knowing that he can still perform at a high level in MMA.

On tomorrows UFC on Fuel TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger card, nestled on the preliminary card is a bout featuring two middleweight fighters making their promotional debut. California’s Sean “The Destroyer” Loeffler, with 30 professional bouts under his belt will be taking on Jackson’s MMA product Buddy Roberts. Loeffler enters a division that already holds some of the most interesting characters the UFC has to offer and will fit right in with the best of them.
