For the next two plus days you’ll hear about the “superfight” happening at UFC 156 between Featherweight champion Jose Aldo and the former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar. While many don’t think it is necessarily that type of “superfight”, it is a super fight nonetheless and one that most people not living under a rock want to see. Step away from the UFC 156 main event for a moment and you’ll see a pretty fantastic main card, with a not too shabby preliminary card.

For years, PRIDE Fighting Championships was the biggest MMA organization in Japan. Building its popularity off of tournaments, open-weight “freak show” fights, and some of the biggest names in MMA putting on exciting shows for their fans from all over the world.
