With Collin’s win over Kevin during last week’s TUF 17 episode, Team Jones gained control of the fight pick. Bubba who was the most experienced in the house picked out Kelvin who was the youngest in the house. We actually thought this was going to be the first matchup in week one, but they went after Luke instead. Kelvin was so sure he was fighting he actually ran out to the face-off in week one.
The UnCut Sports Show Episode Description: Well Episode 5 of TUF 17 did not disappoint. Jon Jones training partner Bubba McDaniel was going up against Kelvin Gastelum. Probably the most experienced fighter and biggest trash talker in the house, McDaniel had in many people’s minds the easy task of taking on the far less experienced Gastelum.
This week’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter 17, Team Jones looks to even things up with Team Sonnen. After Colin Hart gained control of the picks, Jon Jones calls on his friend and training partner Bubba McDaniel to keep the control by defeating Kelvin Gastelum.
The TUF 17 episode starts off with Adam coming back from the hospital and about jumps into the shower with Uriah cracking jokes and being his normal self. He said he didn’t really remember that he even fought. I still feel like he was doing pretty well before that knockout, Adam gained a lot of respect from all of us.
This week’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter 17 begins with the usual recap, showing one more time that nasty knockout by Uriah Hall. After being taken to the hospital and checked out, Adam Cella returns to the house with a clean bill of health and immediately seeks out Hall to congratulate him.
The Ultimate Fighter 17 isn’t starting out the why Team Jones would have liked. Team Jones is not very happy with the fight selection, none of them are very comfortable Gilbert Smith can win and thus they’d lose control of the fight selection.
If tonight’s Ultimate Fighter 17 premiere is any indication of how this season is going to be, hold on tight. The elimination round episode is typically a fun episode but this season the UFC introduced a new twist, the families.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.
