Back again with another 8-Bit MMA Poster for this Saturday’s UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar. This card has been through numerous changes and injuries but somehow still managed to put on a decent card for Brazil and MMA fans all around the world.
The UFC will be in action for the fourth consecutive weekend when they return to Brazil for UFC 153 this weekend. The fight card has gone through a serious face lift since the original UFC 153 fight card was announced, especially the top three bouts.
If you’re looking for a high-energy crowd, Brazil is the place to go, and the UFC is bringing a show worth cheering for with the UFC 153. Despite the multitude of injuries, some big names in Brazilian MMA have stepped up to fight for their fans, and you know they’ll be bringing their best to the table. The last 45 days have been odd to say the least for the UFC and Strikeforce. The two ZUFFA owned promotions have continued to be hit with injuries, each have had to cancel an event and the UFC has witnessed fighters actually turning down fights. The latter of which started this bizarre world the UFC has been living in for the past month and a half and other fighters appear to be following suit.
Today has been one of those days UFC President Dana White talks about during his interviews. Along with the UFC 152 conference call, White had his usual busy day of dealing with issues and problems including three injuries to fighters on upcoming main cards.
Another UFC event, another fighter injured. It seems like a recurring theme these days as you can never count on a card until they actually walk out to the octagon, and even then they could get injured on the way there. The price you pay for a physical sport where the training camps are just as hard, or if not harder, then the actual fight. Think about it, fighters, eat, sleep, and train consistently. They are breaking down their bodies more than they are resting them. It will and always is an inevitable vicious cycle.
The UFC will return to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on October 13th with UFC 153: Aldo vs. Koch. Tickets for the event will go on sale this Thursday August 23rd and the complete UFC 153 fight card has now been finalized. The card will take place at the HSBC Arena, which held the successful UFC 134 and UFC 142 events.
Before the heavyweights take over the night’s main card, the UFC 146 preliminary card will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC 146 Preliminary card features three bouts on Facebook to open the night, before concluding with four bouts on FX that’ll lead into the main card on PPV.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

Amidst everything else going on, the UFC has themselves a busy day today with the UFC on FX 6 taking place in Australia and The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale weigh-ins. All 24 fighters made weight today for tomorrow’s event that will crown The Ultimate Fighter 16 welterweight winner.
UFC on FUEL TV 4 Weigh-in Results and Photos
SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.

The long grind of the first live version of The Ultimate Fighter ends tonight at the TUF Live Finale in Las Vegas. Featuring 12 of the 16 TUF Live contestants, the 10 bout card will be headlined by an important match-up in the welterweight division between Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann.
