Bellator 70 closes out the sixth season for the promotion with a title fight, tournament final as well as the last welterweight semifinal bout. From inside the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana the main card was kicked off on MTV2 and Spike.com with hometown favorite and UFC veteran, Rich Clementi.
The second half of the Bellator season six bantamweight quarterfinal round was concluded during tonight’s Bellator 65 event. Live from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey Marcos Galvao, Ed West, Alexis Vila and Luis Nogueira looked to join Travis Marx and Hiroshi Nakamura, who advanced to the semifinals at last week’s Bellator 64.
The sixth season for Bellator has been very exciting through the first four events, featuring some of the year’s best fights and most brutal knockouts. Tonight’s Bellator 64 main card on MTV2 was an off night for the promotion with all four fights going the distance.
Making their promotional debuts, Japanese fighter Hiroshi Nakamura and the Brazilian born Rodrigo Lima kicked off the opening round of the in the season 6 Bantamweight tournament in the first televised bout of Bellator 64. While it wasn’t the prettiest or the most exciting fight that Bellator has put on, the judoka Nakamura implemented his game plan to perfection grind out a unanimous decision victory.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.
