Earlier this month 12 of the 16 TUF Live fighters made their official UFC debuts at the season’s finale. The four that didn’t get their shot under the big lights were unable to fight on the card due to injuries sustained in the last few weeks of the season. One of the unlucky ones was Mike Rio.

Last night was the last episode of TUF Live before the finale that will crown another Ultimate Fighter winner on June 1st, from the Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada. The final four fighters faced off tonight in the semifinals with two of them moving one step closer to the six figure UFC contract.
Thirty-two men started off the season looking to be this season’s Ultimate Fighter as well as the winner of a Harley Davidson and a one year sponsorship deal with Tapout. Twelve weeks and twenty-eight fights later, we are down to only four: James Vick taking on Mike Chiesa and Vinc Pichel taking on Al Iaquinta.
TUF Live has reached the quarterfinals and tonight episode feature two of the four bouts as well as a major announcement from Dana White. Team Faber has the early lead heading into the next round but another can happen as the fighters look advance to the semifinals.
TUF Live has entered the quarterfinals and if the eight remaining fighters thought things were tough before, they haven’t seen anything yet. With just three episodes left before the TUF Live finale on June 1st, the lightweight that can win three fights over four consecutive weeks will become the next Ultimate Fighter.
Tonight’s first “real” episode of The Ultimate Fighter: Live and the first look of the shows new “live” structure. The first week of the show saw the fighters split into teams, a fighter get some bad news and the first fighter earns a spot in the quarterfinal round.
The 32 lightweights learned just two days ago who they would be fighting tonight when The Ultimate Fighter’s 15th season kicks-off LIVE on FX. The latest season will open with a two and a half hour special where all 32 fighters will step into the Octagon and the victorious ones will make it into the TUF house.
The countdown has begun; the newest season on “The Ultimate Fighter” is less than two weeks away. We know that the 15th season will be like no other season, happening in real-time with the weekly elimination bouts airing LIVE on FX every Friday during the season. UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and top contender Urijah Faber will serve as coaches this season, which will feature fighters from the lightweights division.
