There was not shortage of Battles on the Bayou tonight as the 25th installment of UFC Fight Night went off without a hitch once again. Following the preliminary card which streamed on the UFC Facebook fan page, the main card featured a two  TUF season winners and a multi-promotional champion.

Battle of the Bayou sounds more like something out of the civil war history book then a UFC event but nevertheless, tomorrows UFC Fight Night 25 dawns the name. The UFC returns to the big easy and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana for the first time in over nine years. The free card will air live on Spike TV, with the undercard streaming on Facebook.

This Saturday, September 17, the UFC makes its way back to Louisiana for UFC Live: Shields vs. Ellenberger. Coming to you live from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Battle on the Bayou marks the UFC’s first trip back to the Pelican State in over nine years. While this may not be a star-studded card like a few of the recent cards, it is definitely action packed from start to finish.

Ryan Jensen Released by UFC

Fresh off of his loss to Jason MacDonald, Ryan Jensen has been released by the UFC.  Ryan posted the news on his Facebook page earlier today.  Jensen is 2-4 in the UFC and had lost two fights in a row, to Court McGee and then Jason McDonald so the writing was on the wall.

The UFC took their show north to Toronto and in front of a massive audience of some 55,000 people, they choose to air their entire undercard.  There were five fights on facebook.com, here’s the result of those fights.
