There was an advance screening of Warrior and I was invited to see the film last night in Seattle. We were given short survey cards and were videotaped as we left the theater. They asked us our opinion on the video tape and I said, “It’s nice to see an MMA movie with a plot, and some heart.” I absolutely loved this movie. They are basically trying to get an idea how the movie played, as well as getting some word of mouth a month prior to its wide release.

The BAMMA Landscape for Former UFC vet Nate Marquardt
Former Top UFC Middleweight Contender Nate Marquardt signed with the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts earlier this week. Marquardt became a free agent after being suspended for the 2nd time in his 14 fight UFC career due to illegal substances/failing to meet medical requirements/whatever you want to call it.

It’s the dog days of summer, so that must mean it’s time to hand out some hardware in the form of the Mid-Year MMA Awards. These coveted little awards were voted on by me and the results kept secret by me until I alone was ready to present them to the men and women deserving of such adulation and admiration.

The UFC rolled into Pittsburgh and it was another night of UFC action and another tremendous card. The talk of the MMA world focused on Nate Marquardt being released on the eve of the event, but thanks to the fighters laying it on the line, the talk after the event is how jaw-dropping the action inside the cage turned out to be.
