Strikeforce adds Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Smith to November 3rd Card

After losing half of its main event earlier this week, Strikeforce has added a middleweight bout between Tim Kennedy and Trevor Smith to their November 3rd fight card. On Tuesday it was announced that former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir was injured and was out against the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix champion Daniel Cormier. The addition of a top ranking fighter like Kennedy lessens the sting of losing a fighter such as Mir.

While it wasn’t the matchup with Anderson Silva he wanted it is a top-level matchup with in the UFC middleweight division. The UFC is all set to make its return to Nottingham, England for UFC on Fuel TV 5 on September 29th, and has just added a heavyweight bout, which will serve as the main event between rising heavyweight stars Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic.
