On August 4th the UFC on FOX will bring the promotion back to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the first time in over two years with a light heavyweight main event between former champion Shogun Rua and Brandon Vera. Rua was also the headliner the last time the UFC was at the Staples Center back at UFC 104 on October 24th, 2009. Though he lost a close and controversial decision to Lyoto Machida, he would later defeat Machida to capture UFC gold.
