Thanks to Thiago Silva, Brandon Vera Back in the UFC

UFC veteran Brandon Vera was recently released from the organization after losing a unanimous decision to Thiago Silva at UFC 125. Vera completely dominated by the bigger, stronger Silva and following the fight the nose of Vera was clearly broken. The loss was Vera’s third in a row, with the other two losses being a TKO loss to title contender Jon  Jones and a decision loss to the former champion Randy Couture.

Now Its Matt Hamill who is Rumored to Fight Rampage Jackson at UFC 130

Just days ago rumors began to circulated that Rashad Evans was set to fight Rampage Jackson, replacing Thiago Silva who was pulled from the bout for undisclosed reasons. But now it seems Matt “The Hammer” Hamill will be the one  taking on the former light heavyweight champion Rampage Jackson at UFC 130.

According to sources, Thiago Silva has pulled out of his scheduled fight against Rampage Jackson at UFC 130, and Rashad Evans has come to the rescue and stepped in to replace Silva. Last weekend Evans was forced to pull out of his bout with the light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua due to a knee injury and his teammate Jon “Bones” Jones replaced him.

Spring Schedule for UFC is Shaping up Nicely

The New Year has just started but the Ultimate Fighting Championship is already hard at work putting things together for some solid fight cards this spring. Just eight days removed from the first card of the year in UFC 125, contracts are being sent to some of the biggest fighters in MMA for UFC 129 and UFC 130.
