UFC 118: Diaz vs. Davis is Downright Delightful

This Saturday marks the wrap up of a jam-packed Mixed Martial Arts month of August, and some very nice fights live at The TD Garden in Boston. The main card brings us the lightweight title rematch, 3 fights showing who is who in three different weight classes, and a boxing vs. MMA heavyweight grudge match.

One fight sticks out to the fans as a slugfest in the making and pairs two welterweights who are both coming off of brutal TKO victories early in their fights. Both fighters are boxing and jiu jitsu based so where ever this fight goes the fans in for an exciting thrill ride or a devastating finish. Marcus Davis and Nate Diaz plan to open up the UFC 118 main card live in person and on Pay Per View.

Five Questions Heading Into UFC 118

Now less than 48 hours away from the highly anticipated UFC 118 and there are a few questions that will look to be answered in Boston. Every event has questions leading into the nights fights, but with several high-profile names on the card, UFC 118 is a little different. With such names as Randy Couture, BJ Penn and James Toney how could it not be though?

UFC 118: Gabe Ruediger’s Road Back to the big show

TUF Season 5 alums Gabe Ruediger and Joe Lauzon are set to face off at UFC 118, but both men have taken completely different paths to get there. Ruediger is a late replacement for Terry Etim, who withdrew from the bout due to injury.

UFC 118 fan predictions

UFC 118 is just days away and even though much of the talk has been about the Randy Couture vs. James Toney fight the entire card is solid. The main card is a lightweight championship rematch between current champ Frankie Edgar against former champ BJ Penn.  Along with the Couture vs. Toney fight the main card is rounded out with Demian Maia vs. Mario Miranda, Kenny Florian vs. Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz vs. Marcus Davis.

UFC 118 will determine the future of the lightweight division

In addition to offering fight fans a great night of fights, UFC 118 will determine the future of the lightweight division.  After UFC 112 the only talk related to the lightweight division was how Frankie Edgar upset the greatest lightweight of all time, BJ Penn.  There is much more to the lightweight division than that and UFC 118 will shape up the division.
