It’s kind of unfortunate but WMMA still exhibits the appearance of being handled with “kid gloves” by many of the larger organizations that promote the female in the sport. The combination of lack of female competitors overall in the sport and the simple fact that it hasn’t been totally accepted by the masses is holding the women back. One thing WMMA does have going for them are a handful of “stars” that have shown they can put butts in the seats for their battles inside the cage.
