UFC 104: Machida vs. Shogun predictions

The MMA hype machine is running wild now for UFC 104 as we are now just days away. UFC 104 is at the staples center in Anaheim, California for the first time since UFC 76 just over two years ago. Lyoto Machida will defend his light Heavyweight title for the first time against Mauricio Shogun Rua in the nights main event. Machida in May defeated Rashad Evans by TKO in the second round at UFC 98 to win the title. Machida is undeated at 15-0 in his MMA career and 7-0 inside the octagon. Including Evans, Machida has beaten Rameau Sokoudjou, Tito Ortiz and Thiago Silva on his way to the title. The former Pride superstar Mauricio Shogun Rua lost his UFC debut to Forrest Griffin but since has defeated Mark Coleman and Chuck Liddell. Shogun is 18-3 and in Pride defeated Kevin Randleman, Mark Coleman, Ricardo Arona, Alistair Overeem, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Quinton Jackson.
