Story versus Hazelett at UFC 117

When it comes to young talent look no further then this possible upcoming fight. Rick “Horror” Story (10-3) has agree to face Dustin Hazelett (14-5) at UFC 117 in Oakland, CA. The 25 year old Story is on a three fight win streak with his last win being a split decision over Nick Osipczak at UFC 112. Rick is a very well conditioned fighter with very good punching power and very good wrestling. Dustin is coming off a KO loss to Paul Daley at UFC 108. He did have two wins prior to the loss to Daley. Dustin is 24 years old with a huge heart and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the tutelage of Jorge Grungel with nine submissions under his belt. A win for either of these fighters could catapult then into the mix of top fighters in the 170 pound division.

Legalizing Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in Ontario has been an ongoing battle but Primer Dalton McGuinty says that legalizing the sport isn’t at the top of his governments priority list.

MMA supporters gathered at Queens Park in Toronto to hopefully show the McGuinty government why the sport should be legal in the province of Ontario.

Finally the heated trash talk filled rivalry between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans will get its day in the cage. The two have a long history of not liking each other and their feud bubbled over during the TUF 10 season as the two showed off their 5th grade trash talking skills weekly. Originally supposed to happen at UFC 106 until the acting bug got to Jackson and he went off to film the A-Team. Now that the fight is back on and Jackson has decided to fight again we finally get see who can back up their trash talking.

Its finally UFC Fan EXPO week and the exhibitors, fighters and fans will begin to pour into sin city. With the shear number of possible things to do while you damaging your liver in the city that never sleeps here is a little guide to help you plan your time. We will leave out the obvious things like betting on black/red, see a topless show, gorge at a buffet and drink a lot.
