MFC Logo MFC 27: Bragging Rights Starting to Take ShapeThe Canadian promotion Maximum Fighting Championship has been putting on some great card recently and they have begun putting together their next card. MFC 27 is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 12 at the River Cree Resort and Casino, just outside Edmonton, Alberta and can be seen on HDNet.

Coming off signing a brand new and exclusive three-fight deal with the MFC, David Heath (16-6) will square-off against knockout artist Glover Teixeira (10-2). Heath will be moving back up to the light heavyweight ranks for this fight after defeating Solomon Hutcherson at MFC 26 as a middleweight.

Another recently added fight will see Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford (12-3) meet “The Secret Weapon” Pete Spratt (21-18) in a much-needed rematch. The two first fought at MFC 15 where the fight ended with Ford locking in standing rear-naked choke early in the second round. As the first round ended though, Ford landed two elbow strikes after the bell that left Spratt nearly unconscious. These two fighters do not like each other and the way the first fight ended has only made it worse, expect fireworks.

Also on the card is a welterweight title fight between Douglas “The Phenom” Lima and Jesse Juarez. Lima is coming off an impressive submission victory over Ryan Ford to get him a shot at the welterweight title.

There are five fights currently signed to the MFC 27: Bragging Rights:

David Heath vs. Glover Teixeira, light heavyweight

Ryan Ford vs. Pete Spratt, welterweight

Douglas Lima vs. Jesse Juarez, welterweight title

Dwayne Lewis vs. Razak Al-Hassan, light heavyweight

Kajan Johnson vs. Orestes Betran, lightweight

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
