Strikeforce Challengers 12 Feels Different
Tonight on Showtime, MMA fans get a warm up to tomorrows UFC 123 PPV with Strikeforce Challengers 12. Taking place at the Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson, Mississippi with The televised portion of the card airing at 8pm ET / 11pm PT.
The Challengers cards are a place where Strikeforce can showcase their up and coming fighters, allowing them to be on TV and not on the undercard.
The twelfth installment of the Challengers series feels a little different from many of the previous Challengers events. Many of the fighters on the televised portion have appeared before on the big Strikforce cards, two have also fought for a title recently (Jan Finney & Marius Zaromskis).
Headlined by a lightweight fight between up and comer Justin Wilcox (9-3) against the Brazilian Vitor Ribeiro (20-4), the card looks to be one of the best the series has offered. Also appearing on the televised card will be Antwain Britt (11-4) taking on Ovince St. Preux (7-4) and Waachiim Spiritwolf (8-7-1), who is talking on Zaromskis (13-5). There is also four amateur bout scheduled to start the night off on the non-televised undercard.
Since the card has a different feel to it here are my predictions for the televised portion of the night along with the complete fight card:
