Penn and Fitch battle to Majority Draw at UFC 127

Heading into UFC 127, many fans and media alike thought that BJ Penn and Jon Fitch would be a closely fought battle between two of the best fighters in MMA today. Those people were proven correct as Penn and Fitch fought to a Majority Draw in their main eventing showdown.

BAMMA 5 Main Card Results and Reactions

Leading into the UFC 127 event Saturday night was the BAMMA 5 card from the MEN Arena in Manchester, England. The card was headlined by two fights featuring a couple of big names with possible big plans awaiting them should they win.

Unfortunately both Paul Daley (400 grams) and Ricco Rodriguez (2lbs.) showed up to the party a little overweight. Though their fights did go on, the Paul Daley vs. Yuya Shirai welterweight title fight was changed to a non-title bout.

Cast For The Ultimate Fighter 13 Announced

The moment has arrived; the cast for the 13th season of Spike TV’s popular original series, “The Ultimate Fighter” is official. This season will feature 14 of the best unsigned mixed martial artists in the welterweight division all competing for that six-figure contract with the UFC.

The new season premieres Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 9:00 PM ET/PT featuring Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos as coaches, two of the most intriguing figures in the sport of mixed martial arts. The two finalists will square off in a live finale on Spike TV Saturday, June 4, where the winner will be declared “The Ultimate Fighter” and net the six-figure contract.  UFC President Dana White will once again serve as host of the series.

Kyle Noke Makes Quick Work of Chris Camozzi

Michael Bisping makes Jorge Rivera pay for trash talk at UFC 127

At last night UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch from Sydney, Australia the co-main event bout between middleweights Michael Bisping (21-3) and Jorge Rivera (19-8) went into the second round with Bisping dominating and controlling the fight, eventually winning via TKO at 1:54 of the second.
