Bellator 53 Results: Saunders and Lima advance to the Finals
The Welterweight tournament was narrowed down to two combatants following the outcomes of the bracket match-ups at Bellator 53. The four remaining competitors were Ben Saunders, Douglas Lima, Chris Lozano, and Luis Santos, with Lima being matched up with Lozano and Saunders fighting Santos.
The card also featured the Heavyweight contest of Thiago Santos vs. Josh Burns to determine who will be awarded an alternate position in the Heavyweight tournament and a Featherweight clash between Ronnie Mann and Kenny Foster for an upcoming tourney slot position. The main card was broadcast on the MTV2 and Epix2 networks but there were preliminary bouts as well. The results for the full card are as follows.
