Weekend Recap of M-1 Global Action
With the UFC and Bellator putting on great cards this weekend, the once proclaimed great heavyweight in the world fought to relatively little fanfare. Headlining the M-1 Global early this morning, Fedor Emelianenko made his first appearance since losing three in a row which resulted in his Strikeforce release.
Fedor took on another the veteran submission specialist Jeff Monson in Moscow, Russia inside the Olympic Stadium. In front of 22,000 plus fans, “The Last Emperor” got back in the win column with a unanimous decision win. Fedor dropped Monson multiple times during the fight but made his opponent get back up and stand with him each time.

Before Fedor stepped into the Olympic Stadium M-1 Global held their 29th M-1 Challenge event on Saturday from the Ufa Arena in Ufa, Russia. The event was headlined by the former UFC fighter Mario Miranda, taking on the Russian Dmitry Samoilov.
