Heavyweights to Headline UFC on Fuel TV 5
The UFC is all set to make its return to Nottingham, England for UFC on Fuel TV 5 on September 29th, and has just added a heavyweight bout, which will serve as the main event between rising heavyweight stars Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic. Both Struve and Miocic are carrying some serious momentum coming into this fight, as Struve is currently riding a three fight victorious streak, and Miocic has yet to taste defeat in his professional career, standing at an impressive 9-0, including all three of his UFC appearances.
Stefan Struve just dispatched of Strikeforce import Lavar ‘Big’ Johnson in spectacular, bonus worthy fashion via armbar at UFC 146, Whereas Miocic TKO’d his most recent opponent on the same card in one Shane Del Rosario, who was also integrated into the UFC heavyweight division from Strikeforce. These two are fight finishers, and Miocic has finished all of his UFC opposition thus far.
The UFC on Fuel TV 5 main event should be an electricity filled contest between two of the most promising, under 30 years of age prospects in the UFC heavyweight class, and this bout will more than likely not see the final round. British MMA fans should be in for a real treat with this bout in combination with some of the UK’s brightest stars to also be featured on the card such as Brad Pickett and Andy Ogle.
UFC on Fuel TV 5 will take place at the Capital FM arena and be the promotions first trip to Nottingham.
