Every so often the hurdles that we have to jump over in life can seem insurmountable. It’s also a rarity that a mixed martial artist’s life can appear to be far more dramatic than their exploits inside the cage. So in regards to “War Machine”, (who had his name legally changed from his original moniker of Jon Koppenhaver), he has had quite the rocky ride since making his first appearance on season 6 of “The Ultimate Fighter”.
With the season four featherweight tournament winner Patricio “Pitbull” Freire recovering from his second surgery on his hand , Bellator has decided to make a switch. The Bellator featherweight champion, Joe Warren (7-2) will now face the summer series featherweight tournament winner Pat Curran early in 2012.
The season 5 Bellator heavyweight tournament appears to have lost its second semifinalist this weekend, resulting in a completely new semifinal bout at Bellator 56. Following Thiago Santos stepping in for Mike Hayes after he was not medically cleared to fight, former finalist Neil Grove appears to be stepping back into the Bellator heavyweight tournament.
