This year was filled with great comebacks in fights, but one fighter defiantly stuck out when it comes to a career comeback. With the time difference the Australian card airs on Friday, while the domestic TUF 16 finale will air live on Saturday from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In some tricky scheduling, we have two TUF Finales in two days, with TUF: The Smashes and TUF 16: Carwin vs. Nelson. While Carwin vs. Nelson itself will be put on the shelf due to Carwin’s knee injury, we’re still treated to a solid card with Matt Mitrione stepping in on short notice against Nelson. Being as us American folks missed out of The Smashes, I’ll be combining these two cards into one epic fight report for your reading pleasure, so let’s dig into the massive report.
Typically The Ultimate Fighter Finales are reserved for the season’s final match, along with many of the fighters coming off the reality show. For next months The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale though this does not seem to be the case. Obviously the fight to determine the season’s winner will appear on the fight but things don’t look good for the other 14 fighters.

SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.
