Coming off a leg injury suffered last October at MFC 35, Joseph Henle returns to action next month at Badbeat 8 to face Miguel Cosio. Henle suffered the injury in the third round of his MFC title fight against Elvis Mutapcic that brought an erupt end to the fight. Now fully healed and ready to begin a new winning streak Henle will returns to the familiar confines of the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.
After a disappointing 0-3 stint with the UFC, Jared Papazian is heading back to familiar grounds. Papazian will return to Badbeat MMA (formally BAMMA USA) to headline Badbeat 8 which takes place on March 15, 2013 at the world famous Commerce Casino in Commerce, California. For Papazian it will also be a return to the greater Los Angeles area where he currently resides.
Amidst everything else going on, the UFC has themselves a busy day today with the UFC on FX 6 taking place in Australia and The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale weigh-ins. All 24 fighters made weight today for tomorrow’s event that will crown The Ultimate Fighter 16 welterweight winner.
Not only is The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale taking place this weekend but the second international version of the reality shot, TUF: Smashes will also be holding their finale in Australia. With the time difference the Australian card airs on Friday, while the domestic TUF 16 finale will air live on Saturday from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In some tricky scheduling, we have two TUF Finales in two days, with TUF: The Smashes and TUF 16: Carwin vs. Nelson. While Carwin vs. Nelson itself will be put on the shelf due to Carwin’s knee injury, we’re still treated to a solid card with Matt Mitrione stepping in on short notice against Nelson. Live from South Florida by way of the Harley-Davidson Hometown Throwdown, the UFC lands in the BankAtlantic Center with 12 bouts across Facebook, FUEL TV and concluding on FX.
If the stars align and or people can add, Tomorrows UFC on FX: Johnson vs. McCall will finally set up the promotions first ever flyweight championship fight. The two fighters that ushered the flyweights into the UFC will now be the first 125 pound fighters to headline a UFC card as Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall look to earn a title shot against Joseph Benavidez.
One of the best fights with the oddest conclusion will get its do-over as the main event of UFC on FX: Johnson vs. McCall, as “Uncle Creepy” Ian McCall takes on Demetrios “Mighty Mouse” Johnson. With a bungle on the score cards, this fight was denied its 4th and final “Sudden Victory” round, so we’ll be getting a full replay of two elite Flyweights in action.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

SAN JOSE, Cal. – Still recovering from Saturday’s UFC 148, MMAValor.com was inside the HP Pavilion for today’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-ins. A few of the fighters would need to step onto the scale behind a towel but all 22 fighters on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 fight card made weight.
