Talk to MMA fans in the area and they might give you a different answer. Hailing from Kingston, Pennyslvania and training out of Swoyersville, Jimy “The Kid” Hettes left his mark on the regional circuit, taking out all fighters that stood in his path, earning himself two championships and a UFC contract.

The fighters of Sundays exciting UFC on Versus 5 events learned of their medical fate today from the Wisconsin’s Department of Safety and Professional Services. 13 of the 24 fighters on the card appeared on the medical report, receiving either a 30-day medical rest period or an indefinite suspension.

Filling in for the injured Leonard Garcia, Jimy “The Kid” Hettes made his promotion debut on Sunday’s UFC on Versus 5, earning his ninth submission win in nine pro bouts, taking out former TUF contestant Alex Caceres with a rear naked choke in the 2nd round of the preliminary fight.

August must be the month of injuries of the UFC! The UFC on Versus 5 undercard bout between Alex Caceres and Leonard Garcia had been reshuffled following an undisclosed injury to Garcia. Stepping in to face Caceres will be undefeated UFC newcomer Jim Hettes, who recently inked a deal with the promotion.

Cage Fight and MASS Featherweight champion, Jim “The Kid” Hettes has found a new home to display his skills. Thursday, Hettes signed a four fight deal with Zuffa, LLC, the parent company to the UFC.
