Coming up this Saturday night, The Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its return to Denver, Colorado as UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II comes to you live from inside the Pepsi Center. As has become the norm lately, a few fights have had to be shuffled around due to injuries. With the Pre-Fight Press Conference complete and the weigh-ins coming up today, let’s take a look at the Main Card fights and see how they break down.
The UFC returns to the high altitude of Denver, Colorado this weekend as Frankie Edgar looks to regain his lightweight title against Ben Henderson in the UFC 150 main event. It’s a rematch of their UFC 144 main event, but that shouldn’t be a surprise because ever since Edgar defeated BJ Penn to become the champ at UFC 112 the division has been stuck in rematch mode for 28 long months.
Riding the wave created by the phenomenal UFC on Fox 4 card, UFC 150 brings the fighters back to altitude for a PPV card that should be well worth the money. In our main event, Benson Henderson will look to show the first fight was no fluke as he takes on the gutsy Frankie Edgar in defense of his title. In other lightweight action, fan favorite Donald Cerrone will take on Melvin Guillard in a bout that can’t possibly be anything short of amazing.
The live TUF experiment will come to a conclusion here with a card packed with TUF talent and a MMA fight to determine the upper crust of the Welterweight division. Being as this is a TUF Finale card though, we’re going to have some slim pickings for wagers. I never condone wagers on TUF fighters at the finale due to the copious amount of X-factors involved with tough training conditions, big show jitters, inside knowledge of opponents and changing camps.
