The event took place inside the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil and feature Brazilian Vitor Belfort against Michael Bisping in the night’s main event. Some FX cards are PPV quality, but the UFC on FX 7 fight card looks like…..FX quality. Even still, free fights are free fights and we’re sometimes surprised by the matchmaking in these smaller events, as these are hungry locals looking to make a big splash in the UFC. Our main event is nothing to sneeze at though, as Vitor Belfort looks to notch a win in his home country, taking on title shot hopeful Michael Bisping.

UFC 150 took place this Saturday night in Denver, Colorado at the Pepsi Center, and on pay per view. In the main event, it was Benson Henderson who pulled off the split decision win to remain the lightweight champion. The first round clearly went to Henderson and the second and fifth round went to Edgar, but the third and fourth rounds were very close rounds. Although many fans seem to disagree, two of the three judges gave those middle rounds to Henderson to give him the split decision win. According to the UFC, Nate Diaz will now square off against Benson Henderson for the lightweight strap.

UFC 150 weigh ins took place Friday in preparation for Saturday Night’s card at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. All fighters made weight with the exception of Melvin Guillard who came in at 1.5 pounds over. Guillard has decided not to weigh in a second time, and he will forfeit 5% of his purse to his opponent Donald Cerrone and 5% to the athletic commission. The fight will take place as planned.

At Saturday’s UFC 150 there are four fighters with a UFC goose egg in the win column. Though they all have impressive records that enabled them a shot in “the big show”, they have yet to have their hands raised in victory inside the UFC octagon. Three of the four fighters have tried and failed once before, while one of them will step foot inside the octagon for the first time.

The UFC returns to the high altitude of Denver, Colorado this weekend as Frankie Edgar looks to regain his lightweight title against Ben Henderson in the UFC 150 main event. It’s a rematch of their UFC 144 main event, but that shouldn’t be a surprise because ever since Edgar defeated BJ Penn to become the champ at UFC 112 the division has been stuck in rematch mode for 28 long months.
