The fighters for tonights’s Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey card stepped onto the scales last night in Columbus, Ohio. All 18 fighters made weight and will begin stepping into the cage tonight at 8pm ET / PT for the preliminary card that will be airing on Showtime Extreme. The night main card will start at 10pm ET / PT time and is headlined by the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title bout between Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey.
We’re less than two hours away from the start of tonight’s UFC on Fuel TV card which will open up with the preliminary card streaming live on Facebook. Ever since fighters started cutting a large amount of weight there has been fighters missing weight. Mixed Martial Artists Paul Daley, Thiago Alves and Anthony Johnson are notorious for missing weight, having fought several catchweight bouts between the three. From the HRH Lounge inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino today was the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine weigh-ins. The small lounge was jam packed with fans that were all standing huddled up around the media area directly in front on the stage. All but one fighter made weight on their first attempt with Nah-Shon Burrell needing an extra hour to drop the extra pound.
The last Strikeforce event of 2011 is this weekend in San Diego, California for Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal. This year has been both good and bad for Strikeforce, depending on your outlook of the promotions sale to ZUFFA back in March.
The fighters for tomorrows UFC 140 all stepped on the scales today in Toronto, Canada in front of a packed house along with everyone watching over the internet. Out of the 24 fighters, only lightweight Dennis Hallman missed weight and coming off his speedo incident at UFC 133 the veteran’s on very thin ice.
All the TUF 14 fighters made weight for tomorrow’s finale but Coach Michael Bisping had to use the towel and was still a quarter pound heavy. His opponent Jason “Mayhem” Miller made weight and told Joe Rogan that the “time for talking is over” after the weigh-ins. The lovable Bisping took is anger towards Miller out on the fans.
All fighters made weight at today’s weigh-ins before tomorrow’s historic UFC on FOX network television debut. In front of what looked like a packed house all 20 fighters stepped onto the scale, many looking pissed off from cutting weight.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.
