This weekend the amateur MMA promotion World Combat Series returns to Convention Center in San Jose, California with a weekend long expo that will be capped off with the WCS 14 fight card. This years Expo is so much bigger than last time and the 14 bout MMA fight card, which takes place on Sunday, features two title fights.
The UFC has been very busy having just finished holding three events in eight days but it seems as one event closes they announce yet another one. This time Northern California fans were the lucky recipients as the UFC announced yesterday they will hold the final UFC on FOX card of 2013 at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on December 14th.
Just a few hours before Sunday’s World Combat Series 11 got underway the cage was the location for two BJJ super fights featuring some familiar names in the sport. Current UFC fighter Kyle Kingsbury faced his father Rick Kingsbury in the first match, while Nate James and Nate Moore squared off in the other.
Headlined by three title fights, World Combat Series returned to the California Bay Area with 13 amateur MMA bouts at WCS 11. In conjunction with the two-day Fit Expo the Santa Clara convention center was packed to see some of the sports future stars.
World Combat Series is returning to the San Jose, California area on June 30th with a stacked WCS 11 fight card. Along with the amateur MMA card the Santa Clara Convention center will also play host to the massive FIT EXPO on June 29th and 30th.
On Saturday April 27th World Combat Series will hold their 10th MMA Event inside the San Jose Convention Center Park Side. Before the 12 live fights take place though they will be hosting the Bay Area’s first annual MMA Evolution EXPO.

Last night the fighters for tonight’s Bellator 100 stepped onto the scales with all 24 fighters making weight. The historic 100th event for Bellator takes places tonight from the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and features an all welterweight main card on Spike TV.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.

Amidst everything else going on, the UFC has themselves a busy day today with the UFC on FX 6 taking place in Australia and The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale weigh-ins. All 24 fighters made weight today for tomorrow’s event that will crown The Ultimate Fighter 16 welterweight winner.
