Team Quest fighter Dave Jansen (14-2) out of Portland, Oregon has been released by the WEC. “Dave has been released by the WEC. Although he is disappointed, he is looking forward to improving his skills and making his way back”, according to Team Quest GM Scott McKendry.

Jansen went 1-2 with the promotion and last fought at WEC 50 where he lost a unanimous decision to Ricardo Lamas.

After starting his career with 13 consecutive wins to open his career, the lightweight got his shot in the WEC on October 2009 where he defeated Rich Crunkiton via unanimous decision. He next was matched up against Kamal Shalorus in January at WEC 46 where he lost via unanimous decision.

Jansen not only trains at the Team Quest in Portland, Oregon he is also listed as a coach.
