Jeremiah LabianoA bold statement from a fighter of you may not even know, but thus far Jeremiah Labiano has been able to back up those words.

After finishing his amateur career with an undefeated record, the Crispim BJJ fighter has gone 6-1 as a professional with three knockouts and three submissions. Earlier this year Jeremiah Labiano traveled from Hayward, California to compete alongside 200 other MMA fighters at the spring 2013 XFC tryouts in Florida. After a long 12 hour day he was named the winner of the tryouts and earned a five fight XFC contract. Unfortunately the two sides were unable to come to an agreement and mysteriously neither side has fully addressed the situation.

“After closely going over the contact with my management team, we came to the conclusion that it wasn’t in line with where we wanted my career to go. I don’t really want to talk about the specifics, but let’s just say things are working out for the better,” explained Labiano.

Most recently Jeremiah Labiano faced Bernard Turner in the West Coast Fighting Championship 6 co-main event, where he was victorious via second round submission. What’s next for him though is still up in the air but Jeremiah Labiano was adamant that fans would see him back in the cage within the next 3 months

While the Bay Area is rich in MMA talent and home to several top gyms, local pro fights are often hard to find and fighters tend to take fights on short notice just to stay active. Labiano knows this all too well and paid the price with the only blemish currently on his contract. Filling in on just two days’ notice and having to cut 23 pounds, he went the distance for the only time in his career and lost a unanimous decision at Dragon House 12.

A loss is a loss and you cannot take it back but it also doesn’t diminish the talent Jeremiah Labiano has shown in his first two years as a pro. He believes he’s the best 135 pound fighter the Bay Area has to offer and is willing to prove it.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
