Fights don’t always end clean and decisions aren’t always cut and dry. Sometimes rivals have a score to settle. Fighter’s trash talk each other yet never make it into the ring. All of these are legit reason we fans demand to see a fight. But as fans we sometimes just get an idea that two fighters would make a good fight. There are many reasons why we demand fights but that is what makes us fans. Below is a list of fights we as fans want to see, along with the reason. If you don’t see yours on here, then submit it here and you’ll get your credit.

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Randy Couture[Submitted by Brain J]
It would seem increasingly impossible for this fight to happen but I think it should top any list of “fights that need to happen”. Randy has wanted if for a long time and is one of the most popular fighters of all time. He isn’t getting any younger so time is ticking on this one and at this point I wouldn’t care where this fight happens, in the UFC or a Russian back alley.

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Josh Barnett[Submitted by Chokewho]
This should have happened at Affliction but it didn’t. It would have been #1 v #2 in the world. Barnett messed it up by failing a drugs test.

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brock Lesnar -[Submitted by JdashRIDE]
Fedor is the #1 HW in the world and Brock Lesnar is considered by many as the guy to beat him. This would definitely be the biggest fight in MMA history.

Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami - [Submitted by Killjoy_]
The spider hasn’t lost in 4 years and that was to Yushin Okami. The defeat was a controversial one as Silva was disqualified for an illegal kick. Once Both Silva and Okami reached the UFC the talk started about a rematch. Everytime the fight looks like it will happen something goes wrong. Before Silva has another super fight this fight needs to happen.

Anderson Silva vs. Lyoto Machida[Submitted by JdashRIDE]
With these two Pound 4 Pound top 10 fighters being friends, this match will most likely NEVER happen. But too be honest, it would probably be a snooze fest if it did happen because both are counter strikers and there wouldn’t be a lot of action going on. But I picked it for the small reason that it would let us know who should be higher on the pound 4 pound rankings.

Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill[Submitted by Brain J]
Most agree that Matt Hamill won the first meeting at UFC 75.  One thing most remember about that fight is Hamill stalking Bisping and Bisping literally running away. The fight was in England so I’m sure the judges were swayed in favor of the hometown hero. Too bad they are different weight classes now.

Tito Ortiz vs. Rashad Evans[Submitted by Killjoy_]
Now that Tito Ortiz is back in the UFC I’d really like to see these two fight again. Their first fight ended in a draw because Ortiz was deducted a point for holding the cage. Without that point taken away Ortiz would have won the fight and several things might have been different.

Randy Couture vs. Dan Henderson[Submitted by P.J. Harrison]
Two legends going at it, Nothing more need be said. They better do it soon at 205lbs.

Jake Shields vs. Jon Fitch -[Submitted by Chokewho]
Two good wrestlers and it would gage how good Shields really is.

Eddie Alvarez & Joachim Hansen vs. UFC -[Submitted by Chokewho]
Both fighter’s should go to the UFC if they really wants to test their skills

Kimbo Slice vs. Sean Gannon[Submitted by JdashRIDE]
Sean Gannon is the Boston police officer who beat Kimbo in a bare knuckle fist fight which can be seen on YouTube. Dana White saw that and signed Gannon to fight a virtual no name fighter (Brandon Lee Hinkle) in the UFC. Gannon got beat in the 1st round by TKO and was quickly released by the UFC. Kimbo has been stating that he wants to fight Gannon under MMA rules to prove himself against the dude that once beat him but Gannon’s asking price was way too high. The UFC has money and anything with Kimbo’s face on it will sell PPV’s.
