Jorge Masvidal enter his UFC debut with lots to prove

It’s been nine month’s since Jorge Masvidal last fought. The well-traveled Mixed Martial Artist defeated Justin Wilcox back in July of 2012 and was scheduled to fight at the final Strikeforce card in December before withdrawing from the bout due to injury. This Saturday Masvidal returns to action in the biggest fight of his career as he’ll be making his UFC debut on the UFC on FOX 7 preliminary card.

Zak Cummings Joins MMAValor as TUF 17 Blogger

Last week’s Ultimate Fighter 17 debut saw 14 fighters, including Zak Cummings survive the elimination round to make it into the house. Cummings fought in the episodes second fight and scored the fastest finish of the night with a 7 second TKO against Nik Fekete. With that said, we are VERY lucky to announce that Zak Cummings will be writing a weekly TUF 17 blog right here throughout the season.

Cat Zingano Wants Miesha Tate, Then Ronda Rousey

With women’s MMA set to make its Octagon debut next month, it’s no surprise that fighters have their sights set on the newly crowned bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Cat Zingano on the other hand is taking a slightly different approach on her path to the champ. Zingano wants the former Strikeforce bantamweight champion Meisha Tate who lost her title to Rousey.

The Australian actor who now lives in Hollywood, California has been training Martial Arts since he was a young boy and holds 1st degree black belts in Hipkido and Hwarang-do, plus a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Bellator fighter Rich "Rare Breed" Hale (19-4-1, 4-1 Bellator) normally fights at light heavyweight, but at tomorrow's Bellator 75 he will step up and fight in the season seven Bellator heavyweight tournament. Hale will face former TUF: The Heavies competitor Mike Wessel in the opening round and as he readies for today's weigh-in today, Rich took some time to have a six-pack on ICE.

Initially upset, Charlie Brenneman ok with fighting at UFC 152

Within minutes of UFC President Dana White announcing that Jon Jones had turned down a fight with Chael Sonnen and that UFC 151 was cancelled, fighters from the card began complaining. One of the more outspoken of those was welterweight fighter Charlie Brenneman who took to twitter to express his frustration.
