Bellator 35 Live Results and Fight Recaps

(Lemoore, CA) And here we go! The fourth season of the Bellator Fighting Championships is finally here after a few month layoff and they starting things off with tonight’s Bellator 35. After signing a network TV deal, the promotion will be making its debut on and it’s new home (MTV2) at a new day and time (Saturdays at 6pm PT/9pm ET).

Bellator 35 Fight Card and Predictions

Bellator Fighting Championships fourth season kicks off tomorrow with Bellator 35 from the Tachi Palace casino in Lemoore, California. Season four will feature tournaments in four different divisions, three from the original tournament classes (featherweight, lightweight and welterweight) and an inaugural light heavyweight tournament that will crown the first every Bellator light heavyweight champion.

Megumi Fujii: Breaking Arms and Breaking Records

Megumi Fujii (22-0) has done the impossible last night, breaking the longest win streak in MMA, with a perfect record  of 22-0 [*]. This fight took place Thursday evening on the Bellator 31 card against Lisa Ward, who lost to “Mega Megu” back in 2007 due to arm bar, but later pronounced the fight was stopped early and that she never tapped. One of the more notable perfect streaks came from another star of the Thursday night, Miguel Torres who rattled off 20 wins before he faltered.

Strikeforce challengers recap

Before the event even started two of the undercard fights were removed, no big deal but it is a reoccurring thing with strikeforce. Fights were scheduled to start around 6:30pm but they have been pushed back to start at appox. 7:15pm. The Save mart center is still filling up with only 15 minutes left tell fight time. The first three fights of the night will be Amateur fights and the rest will all be professional.
